The film centers on alcoholism as a monster, and it’s far reaching effects on others. Anne Hathaway (Gloria) is an out-of-work party girl who, after getting kicked out of her apartment by her boyfriend, is forced to leave her life in New York and move back to her hometown. Her new boss, Jason Sudeikis (Oscar), a friend from elementary school provides emotional support. When news reports surface that a giant creature is destroying Seoul, South Korea, Gloria realizes a connection to this far-off phenomenon.
The Bottom-Line? Wow, this is a creative twist on a very serious subject. Anne Hathaway is fantastic in her quirky role.
