Interview with Twilight Stars Charlie Bewley and Daniel Cudmore
Twilight’s Charlie Bewley (Demetri) and Daniel Cudmore (Felix) of the Volturi vampire clan were in Chicago on November 1, 2012 to speak with the press about their upcoming film “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 2.” I interviewed them via phone and had a great time chatting with these enthusiastic actors.
Charlie Bewley confirmed that he grew up on a small farm in middle England just outside the town of Loughborough. He plays Demetri and is a valued member of the Volturi guard.
Daniel Cudmore grew up in a small town named Squamish about 45 miles north from Whistler Mountain in Canada. This 6’6” heartthrob, enjoys performing his own stunts in the Twilight movies. “It’s becoming more and more of a trend with actors that they are preforming their own stunts and honestly when you do get a part, you instinctively want to do as much of the work as you can yourself,” he said.
When asked if they could choose who they would play in the Twilight films, Bewley spoke of his admiration for Rob Pattinson. “I would want to play Rob’s part because from the first movie, I think he really captured the image of the role of a vampire. I think it’s a great credit to Rob,” he said.
They both enjoyed being a part of the cast and especially liked their roles because they are the gritty ones. “My character is 1,000 years old and has lived a lot of life and I find that very interesting,” replied Cudmore.
Bewley commented that he admires Sam Rockwell as his favorite actor, “He puts a ton of work into his performances and his acting does the talking.”
Both actors spoke about the craziness of the Twilight fans and the upcoming premiere in which the fans camp out all night. All and all they were thrilled to be involved with the film series and were looking forward to continuing their careers.
“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2” opens November 16, 2012.
