Chicago Windie City Shootout 72 Hour Film Contest , Sarah Knight Adamson serves on Film Jury

The Windie City Shootout 72 Hour film contest provided an opportunity for filmmakers to create, edit and produce a film in 72 Hours. Big price money was offered totally $28,000 in cash awards.

The WCS awards ceremony was held this past Saturday, August 27 at the newly restored historical Thalia Hall in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood, 1807 S. Allport. The judges’ final 15 films were shown along with an audience vote for the Audience Award.

Film judges for the event included Sarah Adamson film critic for WIND Hollywood 360 radio show, Vittorio Carli film critic for reelmoviecric.com, Locke Peterseim of Redbox and Mo Wagedy Chicago film and TV producer. Judges critiqued 30 films on technical aspects, incorporation of content requirements and creativity.

Ristorante Al Teatro provided pre-award dining options. Brick oven pizzas, steaks, seafood and Italian specialities. A tasty gelato bar for yummy dessert options were a tempting treat for all. Post award entertainment included a band and dancing till 2:30 am.

Awards were given in the following amounts:
Critics Choice: $12,500

Audience Choice: $12,500
