Hi Carl and hi everyone, tonight I will talk about the Cannes Film Festival and the series “Sweet Tooth” on Netflix.
Jodie Foster serves as the special guest of the Opening Ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival and is the Honorary Palme d’Or’s recipient. She addressed attendees with her opening remarks.
July 6, 2021, the opening film “Annette,” a musical film directed by Leos Carax, premiered, starring Marion Cotillard and Adam Driver.
Notable American directors and their films during Cannes are Wes Anderson, “The French Dispatch,” Sean Baker “Red Rocket,” Sean Penn “Flag Day” Oliver Stone’s “JFK: Through the Looking Glass,” Tom McCarthy will debut his Matt Damon thriller “Stillwater” and Todd Haynes’s new film “The Velvet Underground.” Stay tuned for updates and follow my journey on Sarah’s Backstage Pass.
The Netflix Si-Fi/Fantasy series “Sweet Tooth” Season 1 is rated TV-14, staring Christian Convery as Gus a sheltered 10-year-old half-human, half-deer boy who wants to find his mother.
A virus pandemic has killed many people in the world and led to the mysterious arrival of hybrid babies born part human, part animal.
Gus begins his journey with a stranger whom he calls “Big Man.”
I’m enjoying the message of kindness and the incredible acting by the main character Gus, and Big Man (Nonso Anozie), I highly recommend this series which will be renewed for another season.
