The “Top Ten” movies of 2022 were challenging to rank, as the quantity has grown to include TV movies. With that being said, “Avatar” was screened late in the year and added last minute to my list. My criteria for selection are based on family films, although occasionally, an R-rated film will be added. “Babylon” is one of those epic Hollywood larger-than-life films that can’t be ignored. It is in-your-face decadence, with outstanding performances by Margot Robbie, Diego Calva, and Brad Pitt. Hands down, my favorite film of 2022 is “The Fabelmans” Steven Spielberg’s personal story of family resonates with love, forgiveness, and being true to oneself.
